Port Lavaca Events Staff March 2, 2026
Downtown Port Lavaca will come alive with art, music, film, and local flavor as the Port Lavaca Art Walk returns to Main Street on Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual event has quickly grown into one of the community’s most cherished celebrations, drawing residents, families, and visitors to experience the talent and culture that define our coastal town.
Local businesses along Main Street will once again open their doors to host artists from Calhoun County and surrounding areas, turning storefronts into pop‑up galleries filled with original paintings, photography, and unique artisan pieces. The Art Walk’s shop‑to‑shop format invites guests to explore downtown at their own pace while supporting both small businesses and local creators. To help set the vibe while you explore, local musicians play at every crosswalk, playing unique and cover tunes.
This year’s Art Walk will feature a standout attraction you have to see to believe. Making its debut is Percy the Peacock, an eye‑catching art car transformed into a brilliantly colored peacock whose fully extended feathers span an impressive 19 feet. The vibrant display is expected to draw steady crowds throughout the day, and is sure to become one of the most photographed highlights of the event.
When you get hungry, feed the family at one of the three food trucks that will be on-site. La Patrona Taqueria will be serving up burritos, tacos, quesadillas, tortas, gorditas and more! Dive On In, LLC will be grilling up burgers, chicken sandwiches and fries and Sweets & Treats by Dive On In will be there to cool you off with their soft serve ice cream and frozen drinks.
Whether you come to shop, stroll, listen to music, enjoy a film, or simply spend a beautiful afternoon downtown, the Art Walk in Port Lavaca offers something for everyone.
