As the sun set over the Bayfront Peninsula Park, excitement filled the air as families and friends from Calhoun County found the perfect spots to enjoy the annual Star Spangled Bay Bash and its spectacular fireworks display.

The small pavilion transformed into a charming marketplace where vendors showcased unique treasures. Attendees browsed handmade crafts, local art, and fun trinkets. Trinkets weren’t the only goods available to event goers as a line of food trucks offering delicious options, ranging from savory barbecue to sweet treats were available.
As the evening progressed, the crowd eagerly anticipated the grand finale—the fireworks show. This was no ordinary display; it was a choreographed performance set to a captivating soundtrack. Attendees were encouraged to tune into a specific radio station or download the Pyrocast app to enhance their experience.
As showtime approached, the park filled to capacity well before 9 p.m. and in order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of those already inside, a decision was made to limit entry to pedestrian walk-ins. Despite the large crowd, young and old alike found the experience breathtaking. Each colorful boom, synchronized to the music, celebrated freedom and community.
The Star Spangled Bay Bash is a cherished tradition that unites the community in anticipation of Independence Day. The event is takes place before Independence Day allowing dedicated staff to enjoy a well-deserved day off to celebrate with their loved ones.
