The first weekend in March marked the second annual Port Lavaca Art Walk located on Main Street in Downtown Port Lavaca. The street was closed off, but the doors were all open to the public. Inside was business as usual but with an additional treat- one or more local artists showcased their talent for viewing and purchasing. Art of all kinds was displayed from pop art to nature art and everything in between. Not only could you find artists inside businesses in Downtown Port Lavaca on this day, but you could also listen to sweet acoustics on every corner from local musicians. The Art Walk also featured a dance performance by Stasha Williamson, ribbon dancing for kids choreographed by volunteer Candice Garza, and a special screening of the docuseries, Taco Mafia.
The Port Lavaca Art Walk celebrates passion and creativity by bringing many local talents to one place, once a year- Downtown Port Lavaca.
